Dr. Cory McCall is a Maryland-based business leader with more than 30 years of experience spanning healthcare operations, information technology, cybersecurity, and enterprise management.
Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Dr. McCall began his professional career in healthcare after earning a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from West Virginia University in 1994. Early in his career, he worked in clinical and rehabilitation settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and physical and occupational therapy centers. This hands-on experience provided him with a strong foundation in patient care, compliance, workforce reliability, and operational discipline.
In 1996, Dr. McCall transitioned into the information technology field during a pivotal period when healthcare organizations were migrating patient records from mainframe systems to personal computing platforms. He supported medical practices across Maryland, Washington, DC, and Northern Virginia by building, deploying, and maintaining clinical computer systems. His career progressed into enterprise IT operations, service desk support, and nationwide technical training, including providing instruction and on-site support for standardized certification testing centers across the United States.
Throughout the early 2000s, Dr. McCall expanded his operational experience within the telecommunications and insurance industries, supporting OSHA-compliant equipment operations and assisting auto insurance claims organizations. These roles further strengthened his expertise in regulated environments, process-driven operations, and large-scale service delivery.
In 2009, Dr. McCall entered federal consulting, serving as a Systems Administrator and later as a Security Administrator specializing in Information Assurance and cybersecurity operations. In 2015, he joined a federally funded research and development organization, where he spent nine years supporting national defense missions. His work focused on information system certification and authorization, risk management, and facility security operations, including oversight responsibilities for a large workforce population.
Between 2022 and 2023, Dr. McCall was selected to design and lead a Proof-of-Concept accreditation initiative supporting a mission-critical program that resulted in a multi-million-dollar award and additional follow-on opportunities. During this same period, he completed a doctoral case study in Information Systems success within Project Management, earning a Doctor of Business Administration with a concentration in Information Systems and Enterprise Resource Management in 2024 from California Intercontinental University. The accreditation framework he developed continues to be used to evaluate new proof-of-concept, Independent Research and Development (IRAD) initiatives and internal research programs.
